Based on the book by Norman Solomon, and narrated by Sean Penn, War Made Easy brings to the screen biting analysis about the strategies used by U.S. administrations, both Democratic and Republican, to promote their agendas for war from Vietnam to Iraq. By familiarizing viewers with the techniques of war propaganda, War Made Easy encourages us to think critically about the messages put out by today's spin doctors - messages which are designed to promote and prolong a policy of militarism under the guise of the "war on terror."

The Conflict Zone Film Fund grant award was dedicated towards the media outreach carried out by The Institute for Public Accuracy (IPA) carried out on behalf of the film. IPA coordinated and coordinates to coordinate scheduled broadcasts on major national TV networks in several countries during early 2008 as well as a New York City theatrical premiere in March 2008. A theatrical run in Chicago, IL is in the works for summer 2008.

IPA (www.accuracy.org ) is a U.S.-based consortium of policy researchers, scholars and activists that engages in consistent media outreach so that progressive voices in the United States and elsewhere in the world can be heard in a wide range of news media. IPA widens media exposure for progressive perspectives on many issues including the environment, human rights, foreign policy, economic justice, war and the unfulfilled potential for peace.
